Echo Ion XL – With the Ion XL’s extreme versatility between fresh and saltwater environments, its affordable price point, and quality componentry, it has become the go-to rod for guides and fishing professionals. Saltwater-grade rods in this price category are usually better utilized as a coat hanger than a fishing tool. The Ion XL series does not fit that mold.

Featuring a remarkably low swing-weight and a more forgiving action, the Ion XL is equally at home stripping flesh flies as it is dropping a merkin to a tailing permit. For scandinavian use you will find suitable models for both trout and pike fishing.

Echo fly rods have legal guarantee. Echo provides chargeable services as well for the first owner: during the first 24 months, broken tip or rod part is replaced free of charge, only postage/handling fee needs to be paid. After the first 24 months, new tip costs approximately 30-40 euros and other parts approximately 50-70 euros, depending on the rod model. If rod is older model and parts are not available anymore, similar replacement model is offered at discounted price. Postage/handling costs are added to all prices. If you have problems with the rod, please contact us or Echo’s wholesaler which handles all warranty cases.
